Viking Magnus is a thrilling rollercoaster located in Lightwater Valley theme park, Ripon, North Yorkshire, UK. This family-friendly ride features a Viking-themed train with cars designed to resemble Viking longboats. As riders board, they're treated to a scenic journey through a mythical Viking village, complete with Nordic-inspired architecture, water features, and special effects. The rollercoaster's track spans over 1,500 feet, reaching speeds of up to 40 mph and featuring a mix of sharp turns, gentle hills, and sudden drops. With its moderate thrills and immersive theming, Viking Magnus is an ideal attraction for families and younger children seeking a fun, yet not overly intense, rollercoaster experience.

This big, imposing, iron man, is Magnus The Viking, who was a King of Norway, although we don't think he had a cone on his head at that time! He was presented to the people of Largs in 2013 to commemorate 750 years from the Battle Of Largs in 1263. He was created by David Ogilvie of Kilmarnock and stands at 16 feet tall. He sits on Largs Esplanade overlooking the main Greenock road, and the famous Nardini's. Very popular with young and old for photographs.
Fantastic prominent imposing statue showing the connection with Norway and the Vikings, something that can't be missed.
What could be a nicer way to share an ice Cream from the famous Nardinis than to sit beside Magnus the Viking and admire the setting sun.
