This 147-mile trail stretches from the Humber Bridge in North Lincolnshire to Oakham in Rutland, passing through the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route takes walkers through a diverse range of landscapes, including rolling hills, woodlands, and picturesque villages, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Along the way, it passes by historic sites, such as the Viking-built town of Stamford and the medieval market town of Oakham, as well as numerous ancient churches and monuments. The trail is marked by a Viking helmet logo and is suitable for walkers of all abilities, with accommodation and refreshments available in the many villages and towns along the route.
