Caerphilly Castle is a 13th-century castle that stands proudly in the town of Caerphilly, Wales. This medieval fortress boasts a unique blend of Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles, with its imposing stone walls, towers, and battlements. The castle's grandeur is matched only by its rich history, having played a significant role in the medieval struggles for power in Wales. Today, visitors can explore the castle's impressive halls, chambers, and battlements, and discover the stories of the nobles who once called it home.
Beautiful castle ruins and certainly worth a visit. What i found the mkst impressive is that there weren't many areas you couldn't explore, so it was great to be let loose to find all the nooks and crannies of the castle, and there are loads of little hidden places to find. Great price and certainly can take up an hour or two of your time very easily. The staff as always were very friendly too.
Nice cafe just over the road from the castle, good friendly service. Go here 1st before a chain coffee shop. Then make sure you visit the castle, absolute splender, with all the trimmings of complete battlements , seige weapons, views, great Halls, and very helpful staff who have fantastic knowledge of the history of Caerphilly castle. It makes a great day out for any family.
Nice little cafe overlooking the castle. Very nice staff. Seems to serve only snacks and drinks but still a pleasant environment.
