Why not volunteer at this Grade II* listed site and help inspire others with the story of our military history. History right on our doorstep. So interesting in the visitor centre and met local men who actually served there. We loved listening to them tell us their stories of the past. We can learn so much from the older folk in our society. I thank them for sharing with us and passing on the history to others. Lovely antique shops in one of the depots, good coffee and cake upstairs in the reading room. A nice ladies boutique on site too. Well worth a visit . It's free but please donate so the site can be developed further and preserved for other generations .

The visitors centre only takes about half an hour but it's well worth a look whilst your at the Depot. It's got a long history going back! Interesting. And the two volunteers on hand told us a lot and explained things very well. Who knew....

Very interesting and love that it is mostly untouched. Staff in the visitor centre really helpful. They're not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Christine, the volunteer at the visitor centre, was a great source of information about this historic military depot. There were extensive well presented displays illuminating different aspects of the depots 200 year history. A very interesting visit.
