What a beautiful place, the birds are healthy, and the variety is cracking, lots to keep the children happy. The setting is absolutely stunning. What a beautiful place to enjoy the countryside, the wildlife, have a lovely picnic. Can not fault it, spent a brilliant day there today, then finished off in the spotless clean bright and airy cafe with stunning views.
Nice place for a family day out, great if you enjoy walks and seeing some lovely wildlife. Plenty of paths to walk around, in wetter conditions wear wellies and you're good to go. Many hides located for bird watching with information inside. They put on activities to do around the year so worth keeping an eye out.
There was hardly anything to see during the day, there were few casual ducks, flamingos and some goats. The pathways are dirty and you need to go through annoying gates all the time. Maybe you need to come in the early morning to see more. Otherwise, there are better thing to do during the day.
Fabulous spot for a visit. Children love it and there's plenty to keep everyone amused for a couple of hours or a whole day. As well as the extensive wetlands, a compact "specimen" area, good cafe and children's inside and outside play area. Recommend for families and grand uncles with young grand niece.
Amazing place, we could have spent all day wandering here and will definitely be back.. A recommended adventure for kids... especially the big ones...
Great wetland reserve, with open wild wetlands and exotic birds in aviaries. There's quite a variety of birds, much more than we had expected on a cold March day. There's a nice cafe, gift shop, viewing areas and a lookout tower in the main building, with hides situated around the open wetlands. Good pathways around most of the reserve mean that good footwear will be ok rather than wellies and boots. All good.
