Air Force Mountain Bike Trail, a challenging and scenic trail that takes riders through the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, featuring rocky terrain, steep inclines, and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
This was a spectacular find. We came from Richmond, through Reeth and headed towards Thwaite and Angram. The cottages on the way are gorgeous, perched on the valley edge with what must be unbelievable views from their living room windows. Lots of tent camping sites on the way and some wild camping sites with minimal amenities. Parking here is tight as the roads are single track with passing places. We did think the falls were going to be a bit underwhelming but they are impressive and they go down steam for a long way with the most amazing stone features from the weathering over the ages. Bring a picnic it is peaceful and tranquil. We will be back.
Beautiful waterfall and stream. Perfect for an afternoon dip. Not too deep beneath the fall but just enough to jump off the top for those brave enough, and the rockpools are shallow enough for children to play safely under supervision. Beautifully surrounded by the Dales.
Lovely waterfall. Quiet area to picnic and enjoy the weather. You can scramble over the rocks and get up close. Please remember to take your rubbish with you!
Fantastic place to visit more so on a very hot day Remember there are no facilities whatsoever and limited parking.
An awesome little waterfall area. Great stop off and pretty much all to yourself. A nice refreshing dip and excellent for playing in the fresh water.
Beautiful little hideaway that we stumbled across. Some brave souls were even swimming there. Wheelchair accessible further along the road. Great picnics area for families, with pools of water for the kids to paddle in.
