A 29-acre park featuring a large lake, walking trails, and plenty of green space for picnics and relaxation, with a children's play area and a cafe serving refreshments.
Really good playground. Many things to do for small children. recommended
Walverden park is a great little park for youngsters it's like an adventure for the kids finding the carved statues and it is always kept nice and clean, it's a joy to walk round and watch the kids enjoy the park
Great little park in the centre of everything!
Is looking lovely thanks to the volunteers who keep it tidy
There is rubbish, food, packaging, ecigs and clothes thrown around the park. There are teenagers throwing rubbish, damaging flowers and flowers beds and making rude comments to people as they are walking round and they made me feel uncomfortable whilst i was walking my dog. I go there often and always pick up and dispose of my dogs mess but this cant be said for other dog ones which makes me angry. This once lovely clean park is now looking dirty and its upsetting to see and know that people dont have respect or pride in where they live.
Dirtiest and messiest park I have ever been to. I would definitely not let my children play there. Lots of rats, broken glass, litter (especially in the children's area), people dumping their house waste there and even a car that took out a bench! Luckily, all of this doesn't have too much affect on the bird life there and they do sound beautiful.
