Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds is a great day out for families with amenities including a fantastic splash pad, the Pavilion Cafe serving drinks, snacks and ice creams, a beautiful lake with rowing boats and canoes for hire, nature reserve, tree trail, tennis courts, play areas, putting green, and skate park. Boat hire is available during the school holidays and weekends, no booking required. The tennis courts are free of charge, racquets and balls are available for hire at the Pavilion Cafe. Have fun in the skatepark and play areas. Parking is close by on Weymouth Street either in the pay and display car park or the free parking along the road and situated just a short stroll from the Town Centre.
A nice little lake to stretch your legs after long car drive ! They have a big play park for kids and a skater park for teens. The coffee shop a plus with toilets on side. Will visit again if the weather is nice parking is okay if early !
Fantastic park with a variety of things to do, playground, splash pad, skate park, row boats, walking paths, and plenty of grassy area to kick a ball around. Great place for a picnic and bonus: if you are short on time to prepare at home, Morrison's grocery is right across the street. There's also a cafe with drinks and a small selection of snacks inside the park. Only downside is there are only about 8-10 parking spots inside the park, but there's free street parking up the hill from the park, so it's not too difficult to get a spot. I arrived mid/late afternoon on a Wednesday.
A fun time at the splash park, very busy in the baking sun however a good way to cool the children and stop for a picnic. The floor is lava play area was cool, kids enjoyed racing along this and the boating lake would have been great to go on if we would had a little more time. Nice little meadow next to park for picking blackberries, and spotting some wildlife. Parking is a challenge but you do get 2hrs free in Morrisons opposite the park.
Lovely outdoor space. It was very pleasant to walk around the lake and see so much widlife
What a lovely place. Dog friendly (keep on lead), lovely setting with lots of benches for resting if needed along the way. Lots to do for families including splash pad, putting, play area and skate park. Clean and well kept .Will definitely be visiting again.
Lovely big lake full of ducks, swans and geese, big play area for the kids, younger on one half and older things on the other and a splash park but in the middle. (bring the kids a towel and change of clothes) There are open grass areas to sit for picnics and a handful of benches and tables dotted around . They had little ice cream hut, toilets (although no toilet paper and i can imagine the queue will to be big on busy days, there was a fairly constant queue while we was there ). They also had tennis court, basketball court, Mini golf, and you can even hire a little lake row boat .
