A tranquil oasis in the heart of the countryside, Waterhouse Woodland Gardens is a 12-acre botanical haven featuring a stunning collection of plants and trees. Meandering paths guide visitors through a variety of themed gardens, including a sensory garden, a rose garden, and a woodland walk, where ancient trees tower above. The gardens are particularly renowned for their vibrant displays of rhododendrons, azaleas, and bluebells, which burst into colorful bloom during the spring and summer months. A charming tea room and picnic areas provide the perfect setting to relax and unwind amidst the serene surroundings.
Exceptionally beautiful park at any time of the year, but it has a special charm during the spring when the nature wakes up with vivid colours of blume. The garden adds a variety to the vast Bushy Park, where you can grab some refreshments in The Pheasantry cafe and enjoy a peaceful walk around the garden.
Stunning garden near Hampton Court Palace, very nice scenery with colourful flowers
Amazing park! I cannot believe we have been so many times in Bushy Park but never in this area! Everything was beautiful! The pond, the wildlife (friendly squirrels coming to eat food from your hands everywhere). The autumn trees and wonderfully coloured leaves were gorgeous.
I recently heard about Woodland Gardens and decided to pay a visit. As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the peacefulness and serenity of the place. The gardens were not overcrowded, which allowed me to take my time and fully appreciate the beauty of nature that surrounded me. One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to see the deer that roam freely throughout the park. Watching these majestic animals in their natural habitat was truly awe-inspiring, and I found myself spending a lot of time observing them. The park itself is a true gem, with a variety of natural habitats to explore, including wetlands, meadows, and forests. Each area had its own unique character, and I enjoyed wandering through them all and taking in the sights and sounds of the natural world. One of the things that I appreciated most about Woodland Gardens was the free parking. It made it easy for me to get there without having to worry about additional expenses, which is always a plus. Overall, my visit to Woodland Gardens was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing escape into nature. The park's beauty and tranquility make it a true hidden gem, and I look forward to visiting again in the future
The Woodland Gardens is a fantastic conservation natural area within amazing Bushy Park, habitat for variety of green species and beautiful birds. You can enjoying watching birds and walking alongside of streams or simply sit next to ponds. Though the Bushy Park itself is a favourite vast natural area for dog owners to stroll, but the Woodland Gardens is prohibited for any dog but assistant ones. I enjoy it four seasons but if you prefer to visit it in its most colourful scenery, please come here between April to October.
Saturday 17th September - 12:30 I often go for walks around Bushy Park but have never gone into The Woodlands Garden. Is so lovely; I thought it was peaceful walking around Bushy Park but The Woodlands Gardens are so much more. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the cyclist and I love the dogs I encounter on my walks but bikes and dogs (except guide dogs) are not permitted in the gardens. I only walked around a small part of it but I will definitely explore more next time I'm there.
