A fantastic all the family experience. Wonderful walks through the reserve and plenty of places to watch the wildlife. Several small playgrounds for kids, plenty of outdoor seating. Fantastic views of the Humber Bridge. Always a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Loads of information , pictures, interactive screens to get the story of the reserve. A lovely gift shop and a popular restaurant cafe that serves superb food.. Loads of parking and easy access to the reserve and the Banks of the Humber.
Quite a busy but quiet little hide away place. Snacks, coffees an hot chocolates for the kids was very nice. Friendly staff and also some tasty looking dog biscuits.. Dog friendly also, though we didn't have a dog we did have two 10yr olds.
A rainy day so not many people but I'm told packed on most sunny days. What's here? Best view of Humber bridge and a great view of the river..just a minute's walk out of the door next to the cafe here. Nice coffee place..worth a trip :) A local resident talked to us about the wildlife areas and footpaths in the area..one footpaths goes along the river banks. Support the small cafes and help out with their struggle with large chains..visit this cafe
A great visitor's centre with interactive activities, wildlife viewing areas, a shop and cafe. We covered some of the walkway too which was lovely.
Very welcoming with both friendly staff and lots of information on the local area and the businesses that sprang up along the Humber bank before the bridge was constructed. Good place to take children. Nice play area and places to feed ducks and swans etc. restaurant providing meals and drinks at reasonable prices. Pleasant view and free parking. You can access the viking way from a short distance so it's possible to get a decent walk and burn off a few of those calories!
Nice place to escape and get a bit of fresh air, nice woodland walks and excellent cafe. Makes a nice change to walking on the hessle foreshore.
