A 12.5-mile long heritage railway that runs through the Snowdonia National Park, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The railway features vintage steam locomotives and traditional carriages, taking passengers on a scenic journey from Beddgelert to Caernarfon, with stops at picturesque villages and stations along the way.
Booked for a fantastic trip with friends. What a beautiful scenery area. Greenery, flowers, walking track. It's just awesome place even walking towards platform. We reached at station and very much impressed by the station look. Very well maintained, clean, tidy and well painted. There was a cafe which was closed. It was quiet but beautiful. After couple of minutes when feel strange then realised we were late and train has gone . It was laughing and crying moments together. Anyhow walk back to village to do something else.
Fantastic. Booked a trip for my dad's 80th birthday. There were 5 of us plus our little dog. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery, relax and appreciate a wonderful way to travel! Thank you very much to all the amazing volunteers who made it possible.
Amazing experience, kids loved it. Accommodating for wheelchair users although you do have to phone them if going with a wheelchair user. Nice little town we visited, delicious home made ice cream. Tried a sausage roll with sage, cheese and onion it was amazing ended up bring half out. Staff really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to the next train ride.
Lovely Welsh village. You must try the ice cream shop wow. Pubs are lovely too.
Amazing day out to Beddgelert, quality steam train experience from wonderful staff and volunteers, amazing scenery and clean comfortable trains. Truly amazing day out. Loved it.
Going on a journey on this magnificent railway line is brilliant in itself but what makes Beddgelert so special is 'The Rabbit Hutch' and the lady who runs it. I don't know her name but she was so very friendly and kind, helping to settle my daughter after some travel sickness from the car journey and providing all the knowledge for all the passengers coming through. Grab an ice-cream, a snack or a hot drink or even a souvenir if that takes your fancy. Sit on the sun or shade and just relax, enjoying a more peaceful time from previous years.
