Wentworth Woodhouse Stables is a stunning 18th-century stable block situated in the picturesque village of Wentworth, South Yorkshire, England. This impressive structure boasts a striking façade with a grand central archway, flanked by symmetrical wings and adorned with ornate stone carvings. The stables are surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and a tranquil courtyard, creating a serene atmosphere. The interior features a grand entrance hall with a sweeping staircase, elegant rooms, and impressive wooden beams.
Massive mansion but the bigger part of the building is closed. Not a lot of Art to see except some new. Historically and as an architectural gem. Believe it's a superb place for afternoon teas. Private events I suppose it's a main business. It's in private trust
The stables are closed to the public at the moment due to restoration, they are hoping to have the kitchens at the stable to be open by 2024, and that the stables will be the new entrance, the restoration work is looking good, has some great history, would definitely go back to see the stables when finished, looks twice the size of the house.
Such an historic building, under a 25 year renovation once completed it will rival Chatsworth and Blenheim.
Excellent place supported by a charity.
What a grate house and grounds
