A 3-mile stretch of sandy beach along the English Channel, lined with colorful beach huts, amusement arcades, and traditional seaside restaurants serving fish and chips and ice cream. The beach offers calm and shallow waters, making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
Great night camped on the beach front. Waking to a calm, glassy sea and windless day - beautiful location! Free one night stay, no booking required. First come first served! Locals very friendly.
Lots of 'art' driftwood after storms. Tide high so enjoyed the close sound of gentle waves while collecting it and beautiful stones. Much needed nature time during the ongoing chaos and trauma my life is right now.
A nice beach with plenty of room. We took the kids there for a couple of hours and they enjoyed it, The only problem was the little shop did not appear to be open to get them an ice cream. Ok, it was Sunday pm, but still the height of the season! Anyway, while they were on the beach having fun, my wife and I sat by the car watching the water, birds, a glimpse of dolphins, and just chatted away happily. A couple of times, the peace was shattered by the roar of jets as they flew over low - RAF Lossiemouth is just at the back of the beach - and that gave added interest to the afternoon. Overall, it was a good enough visit, just a few too many people for me to feel comfortable, and it would have been fine if the shop had been open. Still OK for a visit though, especially if you like either planes or larger marine creatures possibly putting in an appearance offshore, though you will need to keep your eyes peeled to spot them.
Lovely stretch of coastline lots to see plenty of beachcombing and lots of surprises along the way.
Lossiemouth is a lovely town with plenty of free parking. They ask for donations as things are run by community volunteers including the toilets so please support.
The beach is absolutely stunning, with pristine cleanliness and breathtaking scenery. At the bottom of the beach, there is a charming lighthouse that adds to its beauty.
