A 17-acre park featuring a playground, sports facilities, and a walking trail, surrounded by mature trees and offering a peaceful escape from urban life.
This place is great all year round it's nice and closed in for all the family including your furry children. This place does have a small car park although the 2nd gate maybe locked so you have to take pot luck to get the car in. However if there is space you can park in the roads close by. So there is 6ish tennis courts and 4 have the nets up, football/basketball cage, children play park with picnic table's. There is also green/black bin to put your rubbish and recycling in. There is also a privet bowls club which is the white building in my picture. The green is a great place to have a picnic in spring and summer month's unfortunately from mid October it's a bit leafy however there are a couple of benches available to rest on! Or just enjoy the peacefulness of this great treasure. The trees that surround the grounds are amazing. There is only 2 entrance which is great! When walking our furry loved one's talking about furry loved one's there is 3 red poop bins on the grounds so we can all do our bit to clean up after our own. There are many pet walker's that meet up several time's aday and walk around the grounds and all the different animals play together, it's also a good place if you're training your animal as its quite yet you see people and other pets of all sizes. An when you a drink or something to eat there is a corner shop, nursery and fast food place just around the corner, if you wanted a supermarket there is a Sainsburys extra 10min walk from the park as well. Now this all seems to be to good....... You may be thinking is there some toilets and yes! Yes there is they are kept clean and tidy the only snag is the toilets belong to the bowls club and you can only use them if they let you as the toilets are closed to public use (I'm unsure to why! I can only take a wild guess that the toilets were vandalised) some have to ruin it for other's. So put that aside overall this is a fantastic place to bring all the family no matter what time of the year it is.
Grounds always kept clean and tidy good paved paths all the way round.
A nice little open space amid the hustle and bustle of commuter (?) living. Very nice playground for toddlers and younger kids and an open space and basket ball section for older kids. There's a Bowls club for even older kids
Friendly neighbourhood.. Lovely people around..
Nice small park to walk the dogs, has a small playground for kids. Toilets are on site however they are normally closed and are supervised by members of the bowls club that adjoins the park.
This is a hidden gem of a park off the beaten track. I've lived in the local area for years and never knew it existed. Got eventing you need from a rec and very quiet and feels safe because of it.
