We had a lovely walk along the river back in Autumn. Free parking, other walkers were very friendly, lots of wildlife and great for bird watching. It was easily missed on the main road, but maybe this is a good thing! Incredibly peaceful.
Some off-road parking by the bridge, flat but the car park is not really suitable for pushing a wheelchair, but if you park in a lay-by there are some beautiful views extending towards Glastonbury Tor, usual to see geese or swans, very scenic.
I love this spot, nice walk along the river. Plus plenty to see. Birds, dragonflies, butterflies etc
Beautiful and peaceful place to visit with pleasant walks alongside the waterway, taking in the wonderful sights and sounds of nature. Fantastic sunsets, great for dog walkers, estuary bird watching and free parking make this a wonderful place to get away from it all. Recommended!
Beautiful, peaceful, lovely walk. Took our 2 dogs here for the first time & they loved it. Can be quite muddy in parts, so old shoes or wellies are a good idea. Unfortunately, there are no benches or logs to sit on. There is a dog poo bin at the entrance, so no excuses!!
Good to meet the eye, orchards moorlands and really interesting story behind it!!!... Apparently it was built by POWs during 1st World War!!! Nice place to visit even with kids but take extra care because of the deep down water stream
Hiking
Good for kids
Kid-friendly hikes
