Westbrook Bay, a designated water ski area, perfect for people who love their water sports. It is a great family beach with a sandy bay, where a small section of sand remains exposed at high tide. There is an adventure golf course 'Strokes' along the promenade, with tennis and bowls close by.
All I did was dig a hole with my friends on a school trip and was quite fun... HOWEVER, some idiot decided to fill my bag up with sand phone was covered, and so was my water bottle. Actually, it was quite funny at the end of the day. If only we had more time and more efficient tools, that hole would've turned into a crater (don't have many photos because I would've been wanted dead or alive if the teachers caught me on my phone)
One of the best bays ever. When the sun is going down, the view changes by the second. Simply stunning.
Lovely quiet beach. No need for shops if you bring a packed lunch.
Great friendly beach there's restaurant or two toilets easy free parking right on the each front and the beaches are overall clean. Though some careless dog owners still not picking up after their dogs. But overall it's great the tide goes out far so for younger children it's safe to paddle or go in up to the waste.
In it's self a delightful bay with soft sand and unspoilt, terrific for dog walking and socializing. The big, big let down is the council's continued persistence in removing the bins, they obviously expect dog owners to take their poo bags home.....mmm then the complaints roll in about inconsiderate behaviour of dog owners who leave poo bags behind ...... you decide! Council Could do with organising a beach rubbish clearing party instead of leaving it to the public! OK so it was Easter and the council brought the bins out! But, for how long? Nothing changes.
Nice beach away from the hustle and bustle of Margate's main beach. Dog friendly and summer months should be kept on a lead but they weren't but not a problem. Lovely sunsets
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
