A picturesque valley in the Peak District National Park, characterized by lush greenery, rolling hills, and meandering streams. The valley floor is dotted with ancient stone walls, rustic farmhouses, and winding footpaths that invite exploration. As the valley rises, it gives way to rugged moorland, where heather and bracken dominate the landscape. The area is steeped in history, with evidence of ancient settlements and industrial heritage scattered throughout. On a clear day, the views from the top of the valley stretch for miles, taking in the surrounding hills and valleys of the Peak District.
Westheads Clough is area of natural beauty in Skelmersdale - partly man made going back at least 400 years. The work that has been carried out there to clean the place up is fantastic and it looks amazing.
Amazing biological heritage site running through the heart of Birch Green. It's recently been cleared by CleanUp Skem and is looking fantastic. Plenty of wildlife, a nice stream and a ton of trees. Nice to have a 20 minute stroll from one end to the other.
Free too wander through all Clough's leading down too river nice for locals but some ppl don't deserve to live by such a natural brook with fly tipping and litter around would be awful except for volunteers
