A royal church offering daily services for all and a World Heritage Site with over a thousand years of history.
We visited in August 2024 and just wow! The historical church is just spectacular. The architectural design and attention to detail is just amazing. The historical events that have and continue to happen here is awe inspiring. The stories this building could tell. Highly recommend that you come here and see for yourself. We will definitely be back when in the area.
As an old choirboy I love going to a sung service. A Netherlands choir were the guest performers and the music was superb. On line you can see the times of services. You are not permitted to photograph during the service but you can after. The building itself is exquisite. So many people have posted photos but my favorite part of the building is the vaulted ceiling. Extraordinary.
The pictures don't do it justice. So much history. So many graves of historical figures who were royals or well known people. Sir Isaac Newton's grave is there. Beautiful church. Absolutely stunning and worth the visit. There are washrooms inside if you need the washroom.
Legendary and historical church in London. It's a must to visit not only for its history, but also for the enormous amount of art, sculptures and tombs of famous people. It's highly recommended to book your tickets in order to avoid that they finish. If you visit it in the morning you can also assist to a mass.
