The Wey & Arun Canal Trust is a 23-kilometer-long canal that connects the River Wey near Guildford to the River Arun near Pulborough in West Sussex, England. The canal passes through the scenic Surrey and Sussex countryside, offering picturesque views of rolling hills, woodlands, and villages. The canal is popular for boating, fishing, and walking, with a towpath that follows the canal's route, providing a tranquil and peaceful experience for visitors.
Just PS15 for a year canoe or paddleboard access to the canal. Beautiful place to be. Great parking. Great landing stages,
A lovely walk around and boat trip! Such lovely staff. Very friendly people. I took our one year old puppy on a boat and the captain was very nice. They even let us practice getting on and out of the boat as we came really early. Anyone who has dog knows that the key to having a well-behaved dog is lots of training and socialising. I wasn't sure that our pup would even get on a boat as we never did it before.
Really lovely canal walk. As previously noted lots of birdsong to enjoy too. Bonus of a lovely pint of Guinness at the Onslow Arms on your return.
Having walked along a section of the canal that has had time and money spent and, still in a lot of areas is an ongoing project, I can say from an outsider's point of view that it is a very impressive outcome. It is being restored and managed, really well and I look forward to enjoying the area for years to come.
Nice walk along the canal, you can walk for miles and miles.
Excellent peaceful and engaging trip along a section of the canal. Impressive volunteers who made our trip enjoyable- thank you for maintaining this beautiful place.
