Went for an nice easter Sunday walk along the Wheelock railway and canal trail with our dog. We did the circular walk that started and finished in Moston. Really nice quiet walk about 9 km long and on flat ground, so nice walk to do if your not into strenuous exercise and took approximately between 2-3 hours.
Can be accessed through from the canal or the main road. Not very long very shady. Perfect for a quick walk. Access to other trails along the way
A very pleasant walk and a little further on there are the locks
A pleasant well surfaced wide walk along a disused railway line running north south through Sandbach and the Cheshire countryside. Parking can be challenging and access at some points is down steep steps on a deep embankment.
Decent for a walk in any weather but it's a shame there are a few select dog walkers who don't pick up the mess or hang bagged waste off trees
Really good walking route for exercise and taking your four legged friends for a walk. Just be careful when crossing the main road as some boy and girl racers enjoy putting there foot down and appear on you pdq.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Hiking
Good for kids
Kid-friendly hikes
