A medieval stone bridge spanning the River Test, featuring five arches and a pedestrian walkway, with a rich history dating back to the 13th century.
Overpriced and understaffed, resulting in traffic backing up in both directions and unesseccary delays. New QR code payment system is only going to add to the delays.
Walk ( for free) across the pretty Victorian toll bridge across the Thames, There are views up and down the river and across into Whitchurch.
All the people are lovely there it is a beautiful place to walk or run, the river is stunning and they only charge because it is private property and belongs to someone, all the staff are lovely and it's only 60 p for a car!! And the manager is lovely
The view of the river from the bridge was nice as were the quaint homes on the river bank. The small car park was free on Sundays and Bank Holidays. There's A large grass park area on the next to the river for walks etc, plus the near by high street has plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafe's to choose from. Also there are Bentley, Aston Martin and Lamborghini show rooms close by with some amazing cars to be seen.
It's a beautiful spot on the Thames
Very nice peaceful place to stop off and spend an hour next to the river Thames. I just happened to be driving over the bridge and spotted this riverside recreational place so decided to spend a couple hours fishing having the rod in the car. Lots of Boats, canoeists and paddle boarders. Free Fishing. Free parking after 6pm.
Wheelchair-accessible car park
