Traditional lodge with posh suites plus a movie theater, pool, ice skating & private beach access.
The facility and grounds are stunning. Period perfect recreation of a Great Camp with all the modern luxuries one could want. Had deluxe one bedroom with a full kitchen (i believe all rooms do), living room and balcony with a view of the mountains. Furnishings and comfort were luxurious. All the staff were eager to please and super nice. Having access to the grounds, sports courts, theater, bowling alley, game room and canoe club made this a great value. By far one of the best places we have ever stayed in the world.
This is an amazing resort. We loved everything about it. It is exactly like stepping back in time to a period when the great lodges of the Adirondacks were still around. It sets the tone for a lodge while doing so in opulent luxury. The rooms are very large, the beds and pillows super comfortable, the kitchens wonderfully appointed should you want to cook in. Hard to do with 2 great restaurants in the lodge. I give this my highest recommendation.
Our kids and family sent us for a weekend get during one of the worst storms of the year. The workers at the lodge were great. We were met by one of valets after a white knuckle 4 1/2 hour drive. She checked to see if our room was ready, it was, and had our things there while we checked in. Our room was great. We're not typically rustic people, but it was really nicely decorated in a rustic style. Also it was clean, warm and quiet. The outdoor hot tub was clean, warm and refreshing on a cold winter day. The bartenders and servers were great. They were pleasant, polite, friendly and fun to hang out with. The peak 47 and valet people really were the best. Of course our breakfast server on the last day was sweet. She had a lull and was happy to chat and take photos in front of one of the stunning fireplaces.|Thanks to all
The Whiteface Lodge is the most Beautiful Luxury Lodge in the Northeast. We were greeted with warm smiles and wonderful team members. Our Suite was like staying in our own luxury vacation home. The grounds are magnificent. We plan to return each season to experience the magic.
The Whiteface Lodge is one of the nicest resorts in the Northeast. We have dined here over a half dozen times. This was our first stay, and we have not been disappointed. The property is beautiful, having a very high-end Adirondack feel. It is also great for families as there are lots of on-property activities. We had an unfortunate experience at another property in the area, and the front desk here was outstanding at accommodating us during check-in. We couldn't thank them enough for making the change of hotels seamless and will definitely be making the Whiteface Lodge our go-to spot while visiting the Lake Placid area from here on out. We couldn't recommend this resort highly enough. It's a special place!
Great stay with family over spring break. There Alot of things to do. Resort is beautiful and clean. The staff was very nice. The breakfast buffet was included and delicious. 2 restaurants on property, both were good. Bowling Alley and Game Room were great. The movie theater was awesome. Only negative thing was the pool heater was broken.
