Very nice heritage site & although carriage not running due to no guard we got a ride in the loco cab including the dog. All staff very friendly & helpful especially Ben our train driver. Large cafe / function area with good selection of food & drink. All areas dog friendly apart from play area / garden although outdoor seating available near old ticket office
I had a lovely custom breakfast as I dont like bacon rolls, and I also got my own private train ride! Went on a diesel day when it wasnt busy, asked if the train was running and they dropped everything and let me ride the train. Short journey, up and down twice. Good for small children. Was only a fiver.
Good family gathering venue, friendly with modest railway operations. Good catering and comfortable relaxing ambiance. Probably not for extreme railway enthusiasts.
Fantastic little heritage railway with a great length of track and plenty of rolling stock to look at and ride on.
Best Sunday dinner ever!! Lovely short trip in the brake wagon. Wedding reception venue with bar and camp site too including statics.
A very spontaneous trip on New Years Day! There unfortunately wasn't any train rides running today but, as there was such a big party of us, the driver insisted! We all had a fantastic afternoon. All of the staff /volunteers were absolutely brilliant. Friendly and swift service at the bar for coffees and beers. Perfect for stocking up with snacks for a railway walk too! Not our usual activity but we thoroughly enjoyed our time.
