This recreation ground features a large open space with grassy fields, walking trails, and sports facilities, including a football pitch, tennis courts, and a children's playground. The grounds are surrounded by mature trees, providing shade and a natural ambiance. The area is popular for outdoor activities, picnics, and community events, offering a peaceful escape from urban life.
Doing some sports could not be better with that fantastic view. Whyteleafe recreation ground has: - a cafe (did not try it, yet) - Toilet facilities (did not try this neither) - Basket ball court - Tennis court - Children Playground - Plenty of spaces for dogs and to simply walk - Car parking - An area with sport equipments -Many benches to seat on Dogs are not allowed in the play area but it's an open playground. The sand pit is great but we witness a child peeing inside it so beware. Otherwise a great outdoor area to relax for everyone. There is a sign about barbecue not being allowed. There were a lot of children using the sport equipment and some could be potentially causing them injuries, we also found balls unknown if there were forgotten by other or part of the facilities but it was great to have them. The play area was not busy during that particular visit (it was not very sunny) but on some other occasions it was, so it all depends when you plan to visit. Parking is free but was told the area can be a bit rough so beware of that too. Never had an issue at Whyteleafe recreation ground.
lovely bit of green space with a children's playground sort of in the middle, tennis courts, an outside kit fit area, pavilion cafe and events space, public parking, and public toilets. The playground: Not massive, but it does have a fair amount of children's rides and activities inside; a medium-sized sandpit , a rope climbing frame, some swings and rockers, and a slide The Greenspace: Absolutely massive, perfect for dog walking, picnics, and children's or adult parties. there is also the tennis court, outdoor gym, and cafe with toilets located nearby. The hills above the playground lead to a far greater open space. This area is valuable chalk grassland leading up to woodland known as the Dobbin, grassy meadows, and the wider area known as the Sanderstead to Whyteleafe Countryside Area.
One of the most picturesque ground and amazing rolling hill park with lots to offer. It has its own parking. The ground offers a bit for everyone, first it's the trendy outdoor gym, with a nice cafe next to it. There are plenty of open green space for running around and playing with kids or your pets. They also have free tennis courts, which seem to be well maintained. The kids playground at the top, which has done great swings and also a massive sand pit for kids to play. A great place to do picnics. Then if course, there are loads of walking tracks to go up the hill which links up towards Kenley and other side towards Warlingham school. One of my favourite spots to bring my little one.
Nice place and the cafe is pretty good. On the downside, there are too many entitled people who think it's fine to let untrained dogs off leash run after people and dogs in the leash
I love this place. Went there after work just to relax and enjoy nature. I just love the views honestly they are awesome. Best place to come and unwind.
In a nice day if one wants to have a good walk or just want to feel the nature then it is a wonderful place to be. Best part is there is a nice cafe too. The runners of this cafe are so nice people, they will make you forget your tirdness. Food choice is limited but taste fill that up. If you are in this area do go there.
