Wicksteed park is home to both an idyllic park as well as the fun and fantastic rides! Please note our Main Opening hours are for Ride attraction days whereas Access Hours are for Park Gate opening times.
Beautiful park, very big! So fun and beautiful! I'll recommend to bring some walking shoes and lots of water to hydrate as everything costs money there. For parking, I'll suggest to park in the neighborhoods nearby to avoid the parking cost. For the tickets, i recommend to purchase individual tickets as the park has 5 great rides that's worth trying or the yearly pass. Plus they have many swings and slides to use for free. The line for the train was a bit ridiculous as we waiting for an hour, the line was insane. The water slide is very short and has long lines but definitely worth it. Check out the barn. Overall was a great park but lines were very long for any major rides. Kids spent most of their time at the free swings and slides. Individual tickets are PS3 per person and the day pass is PS60 and the year pass is PS80. Most of the items at the food spots are overpriced but that's fair as it's a park. Overall, great experience!
Just got back from THE BEST day at wicksteed park. We purchased the wristbands which proved great value for money. We went on 20 plus rides. Didn't have to queue for any ride for more than 15 minutes. Most rides we walked straight on. Facilities kept really lovely and clean. So lucky to have this close by. Would 100% recommend.
Perfect park for younger children. It wasn't overwhelming like others, where you had to rush round to see all the different sections. Enough rides to keep the little one's amused and the queues were fine. Some rides had no wait times Great day out for the family. Staff were fabulous, all smiles and joy. Clean and tidy park. Will definitely visit again. Oh, limited food choices, so maybe a picnic might be a better option.
Great small theme park with plenty of parking for a day out, paid PS7.50 for the full day. Can choose to purchase ride tickets individually or a wristband (cheaper in advance) or just park up and enjoy the park and wider area. There's a great long walk around the park, following the railway line, that's lovely in good weather. The rides are small but loved them as they reminded me of childhood visits. Huge play park for young kids and a train ride for all ages. Food options are limited, but I was surprised to find a gluten free sandwich in the cafe, which was a plus. Fab, affordable day out without any huge crowds, even on a sunny Saturday.
Tut tut tut... Oh Wickstead Park what have you become.... I've been coming here all my life, my grandparents brought me Mum and dad brought me and I've even been bringing my children here but no more unfortunately. As a kid it was a place of excitement, joy and happiness and I thank you for that and all the cool rides you had.. Bumper boats, pirate ships, arcade, go karts just to mention a few with ice cream vans dotted around the park and cheap but good fresh food to enjoy with the family but unfortunately it's now just a sparse empty all be it well maintained area with little to nothing to do with microwaved rollover hot dogs and burgers with dried onions for PS5.50 a pop. You charge PS25 a wristband and PS3 a ticket with only a handful of small attractions is just not on if your children are 11 or above. Please go back to the old ways.
Great fun. I was there with a child in a wheelchair. With purple wristbands, we were given priority in queues (recognising that he would be unable to stand) and staff could not have been more helpful. Costs do mount if you buy food etc, but there is a lot to do and we had a great day out. It's wonderful to have this right on our doorstep. Warmly recommend.
