Sleepy village...lots of parking and some lovely walks (but be prepared to climb uphill). Old stone houses & lovely old pub. Small farmers' museum to see. Ok to visit for a short while as it's quite quaint but don't need to hang about for too long.
We approached the village behind a woman in a 4x4 whose idea of assisting the flow of the traffic was to seemingly drive at on coming vehicles, or stop on bends to make it difficult for them to get by her in the narrow lanes. (Please don't build a dual carriage way to bring more people in!) The village itself was quiet. Most places were either closed or closing, being around 4pm.
Pretty quintessential Dartmoor village. Very narrow roads in and out. Car parking very reasonable at PS2 for the whole day. Overnight parking is only a fiver
Small and cute, but what a big church.
Very picturesque village with many tourist shops and a few cafes. Not a lot more to say!
An attractive village that's worth a visit for its setting amidst the moors.
