About
The Wildlife Walk at West Midland Safari Park is a self-guided walking tour that takes visitors through a variety of natural habitats, including woodland, grassland, and wetland. The walk is home to over 165 species of animals, including European grey wolves, brown bears, and wolverines, as well as a variety of birds, reptiles, and insects. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles long and takes around 2-3 hours to complete, depending on the pace of the visitor. Along the way, visitors can observe the animals in their naturalistic habitats, learn about the different species through educational signage, and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding countryside.

Really lovely short walk that was enjoyed by grandchildren and grandparents alike. The views over the sea and hills are magnificent and constantly changing as the walk is circular. Experiences included many nesting skylarks to watch and hear, the remains of the local school and getting up close to large wind turbines. The signage boards around the walk gave good information on the wildlife. There is a big carved bear to find in a corner of woodland!
Beautiful walk with great views and things to see along the way. incline in places and exposed so cold wind in winter so wrap cosy! Wee car park opposite church. Would take 40 minutes to an hour dependent on speed. Dogs welcome but on leads, took mine and he loved it!
Lovely hidden walk just off the top of Garvock hill. Signs throughout giving history and information which is nice. Paths are mixed between stone, gravel and grass highly recommend!
Did this today as a family. Lovely wee walk. About a mile long so good for all ages. Lovely views
The 'Wildlife Walk' is a pleasant short walk ideal for a family day out. It took us about 20 minutes to finish the loop. There are also many informative signs! Bearing in mind all these aspects, I gave the 'Wildlife Walk' a four-star rating, primarily because of how short the loop is! Nonetheless, it's a great wee walk!
Lovely easy short walk with 350 degrees views at the top, a coastline on the oneside, and hills surrounded by the beautiful howe o' mearns on the other. Plus, it's rearly buzzing with other people, perfect!
