The Wimbledon Windmill Museum will re-open on Saturday 1 April 2023. The museum has exhibits for both young and old, covering windmills and milling as well as local history and the Scouting movement.
It was a small museum and also very informative. My kids enjoyed it very much. Through dlr we started and we had jubilee line, stop is Westminster, again we got district line, stop is putney bridge and we got bus 93 and we reached Parkside hospital stop, from bus stop the museum is in walkable distance only. Staffs are very friendly. They have one video session about windmill that also very nice.
Great little museum with an interesting windmill installation featuring a button to move the turbines. It's especially fascinating for children.
A particularly entertaining experience, far exceeding my expectations. Been passing this historic building for years unaware of what I was missing . The driving force for this superbly curated museum is Norman Plaistow
Outdoor and indoor seating. Very quick service and my colleagues said the food was delicious and fresh. Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean toilets and a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of parking nearby.
Beautiful windmill, museum is open weekends only, volunteer run, great information and it's a wonderful windmill for photo opportunities, well worth a 30 minute tour around, and you can by a Wombie in the little shop, all goes back to the windmill foundation.
Free to park. Love Wimbledon common Don't go 8:30- 10 am sat though. The carpark is full due to the park run. Free, fun event if you fancy it! Run, jog or walk
