An action-packed family day out! Explosive live science, nature adventures, out-of-this-world Planetarium shows and interactive science exhibits. Where will your curiosity take you?
This is an exciting, fun place for children to visit to explore science. I liked the fact that the decor and theme revolve around both physical sciences and space travel. The shows are well curated and informative. Grown ups enjoy them as well. The planetarium is conducive for learning. Although the projection is from the giant ceiling, you get a feeling of looking into the sky without the drag of straining the neck. The bookstore stocks books and toys. The centre is constantly cleaned even with the huge footfall. Parking is massive but paid for. There is an Inn on the property as well for people who have to travel long distances to Winchester. Overall, it was a great experience.
Fantastic place - we visit every year and the kids do not get bored. The team are all extremely enthusiastic and full of energy which is great at getting the kids engaged in learning. The exhibits are tonnes of fun as well as educational. You can easily spend an entire day at the centre - we always turn up by 10am and find ourselves leaving no earlier than 3:30-4:30pm Couldn't recommend a visit enough!
Fantastic hands on experience for kids (and adults alike) to learn all kinds of science. Each have clear instructions of what to do. There are additional experiences that can be booked, such as a science show and Planetarium show, some cost a little extra. The Planetarium show was worth the cost. It's worth noting their opening dates as they're not generally open on week days, unless on school holidays. We knew this before booking. Plenty of benches, tables and chairs to eat at. You can take your own food or purchase from their cafe. We enjoyed their jacket potatoes and nachos, which were both sizable portions for the reasonably prices.
What a great day out with the kids. So much to do, see and learn! We added the planetarium in which was really educational! I love that you can BYO lunch and sit back while the children play on the Soft Play
Excellent interactive place for children to run around and explore all things science related. The car park can sometimes be busy at peak times, and can be busy during half term/school holidays. It's almost always nearly empty at the later part of the day (2pm onwards) There is a cafe with a great selection of food and snacks, catered to adults and small children, (not too expensive) When the weather is nice there is also an outdoor section for children to explore. A great soft play which is included in the ticket price is also there too. The planetarium is not included in the ticket price, but can be purchased as an "add on"
Absolutely lovely place to spend the day. 6 year old and I spent 6 hours there and really enjoyed the planetarium and all the hands on exhibits. The short science demonstrations were well done, and all the staff friendly and helpful. Cake in the cafe is definitely average. It was nice to have areas to eat a picnic inside and out.
