During a day out you'll get the chance to meet more than 30 different breeds of animals including rare and native, take part in seasonal animal activities and discover endless play both indoors and out. Little adventures will love to climb, crawl and explore in their award-winning indoor play area as grown-ups can indulge in mouthwatering delights at the on-site cafe. Outside, discover jumping pillows, ride-on tractors, water-based play and make your own den in Brian's Wood. Exciting special events also take place throughout the year, such as lambing during Easter & meeting Santa at Christmas - there's always a reason to visit!
First time taking my grandchildren out alone but found Windmill farm to be the perfect setting. Plenty to do and lots to see. The animals were very friendly and the children were able to feed them safely, which they loved. Plenty of space to burn off energy and Brian's wood was just lovely. All the staff are friendly and helpful and very polite. It's one of those places where kids can get dirty and enjoy being outside. Lovely day out for all of us.
Windmill Farm is great for both kids and adults. It's a fantastic day out and always entertaining. Love it so much we have the summer pass. The play area is lovely. The staff are really friendly and always helpful and the animals are well loved. The play area with the water pump and dams are also perfect for a summer visit. Also had our sons birthday party there and it was a perfect venue.
We have visited twice in the last week with our grandchildren and will most definitely be coming back again. We were really impressed with the cleanliness, the management, the care and the conditions the animals were kept in as well as the indoor play area and toilet facilities. It was a wonderful full day out for us all. The only tiny criticism I have is that as a wheelchair user, the large gravel used on the path around the outdoor play area made for difficult terrain. The rest of the place was perfectly accessible. Thank you!
An amazing place to explore! The staff are warm and welcoming, and it's evident that the animals are well cared for and cherished. The outdoor and indoor play areas are entertaining and in excellent condition. The tractor ride is fun and Brian's Wood is a delightful hidden gem! We were lucky enough to catch the goat race, which was very entertaining. The cafe offers delicious food at fair prices. Highly recommend a visit!
My two boys (4 and 6) absolutely loved the farm, there is so much to do, we couldn't fit everything in in one visit. They loved the indoor play area and the bouncy pillows outside. The tractor ride was brilliant and, as always, they loved feeding the animals. We only saw the den area in Brian's Wood but it was fantastic. We can't wait to come back!
Lovely visit. The grandkids (4 and 6) had a fab time. They enjoyed bouncing on the air cushions; feeding the animals; petting the guinea pigs; running around the fields; going wild on the space hoppers; tractor riding; and rolling down the hill. Brian's Wood was a big hit! When it drizzled a little at lunch, we went inside to play. Again, great fun was had in the play area! Super layout. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars was the rubbish menu. We were so limited in choice. All the kids wanted was a cone of chips and an ice cream! The adult meals were even more limited. Thank you for a fantastic day out.
