This caravan park is situated in a picturesque setting overlooking the surrounding countryside, offering stunning views of the rolling hills and valleys. The park is well-maintained with neat grassy areas, colorful flowerbeds, and mature trees providing shade and shelter. The caravan pitches are spacious and level, with access to modern amenities including a toilet block, laundry facilities, and a children's play area. On-site, there's a shop selling essentials and a takeaway serving a range of food. The park is ideally located for exploring the historic town of Pembroke and the beautiful coastline of South Wales.
Just returned from a lovely 3 week stay in our caravan. Richard and Jayne are such lovely hosts. The hard standing pitches are brilliant, so spacious. The pitch we had easily housed our caravan, awning and car. I would say pitches nearer to the farm house are better should you be affected by road noise however, not a major road and other than rush hours no really issue.|The camping fields looked great for families as units placed around the perimeter so great space for kids to play.|The facilities are a little dated, adequately clean but never a shortage of lovely hot water. My hubby did find the gents showers a little challenging, only shower tray depth and no area dry for your clothes etc. |I would however still highly recommend this site given the price pn.|Working farm with no extra staff so I feel Richard and Jayne do an amazing job.
We stayed early Aug 24, as a family, camping in their top field. I found the owners very friendly and helpful. Location is not far from Pembroke and it is possible to walk to Pembroke from the site. Facilities included; hot showers, toilets, wash basins, chest freezer, fridge and free to use microwave. All clean and in good order. Plenty of hot water for washing up in a separate room. Also chemical toilet facilities and a place to hose wetsuits. The farm is a charming setting and the old mill buildings offer both lovely character and a home for swallows. If we need to camp this way again, we will return to this very reasonably priced campsite.
Camped (with tent and car) Lovely friendly campsite - very flexible owners. Good facilities for camping - laundry, washing up etc. Bathroom blocks are well heated and showers good pressure and warm. Kept clean with fridges and microwave. Camping field is kept flat (apart from underlying hill). Easy drive (and a footpath walk) into Pembroke. Saddle head and coast 15mins away. Camping field has lots of space although road can be a bit noisy.
We called up last minute due to another campsite not allowing dogs! They were so welcoming and very helpful with the surrounding areas. It's a 25 minute walk into Pembroke either through fields or along the road. Clean toilet/shower block and Will definitely return here if we're in the area again! Recommend the waterman arms for food in Pembroke, was good food, dog friendly with a warm local pub atmosphere
We've visited Windmill Cottage many times. The people are friendly and welcoming, and the amenities are very good. If you have a canine friend there's lots of places to parade your pooch and the surroundings are fantastic, if you're into ornithology there's a lot of feathered flyers to capture your attention, or if you like to relax and unwind there's a vast amount of fresh oxygen and wellbeing-ness. Local shops are great for those who like to shop or just browse, and lots of eateries are ready to pamper your palette. Just go. You won't regret it.
Friendly farm camping. Sanitaries okay, but the men's sanitaries are illogically orders and having gender-separated dishwashing rooms can be inconvenient if you want to wash the dishes together. Laundry facilities. EHU but no wifi.
Wheelchair-accessible car park
