Museum focused on the heritage, industry & culture of the region, from prehistory to modern times.
Interesting, small local museum covering the Witney area and focusing on the blanket industry for which the town was famous. Exhibits are over two floors. Plan on spending 30 minutes to an hour here.
Lots of information on Witney blanket industry, also other aspects of Witney life through the years. At present only PS2 entry fee. Well worth it. Staff members very knowledgeable if you have any questions.

Small local museum. Good displays on Witney's blanket industry. Check opening times online.
A lovely little museum showing local history particularly relating to the blanket making industry. I went when there was an open day which also included demo's of relating crafts eg weaving, spinning, tatting, corn dolly making. Look out for a charming story about a 3 year old son of Early's owner who presented the Queen with a blanket. (I won't spoil the end of that one). Worth a visit.
Really enjoyed the museum. Learnt a lot about the heritage of Witney. The staff were most informative. So glad we could visit as they will be closed from today until April next year. Thank you to all the lovely people who work there!
