This wildlife park is home to over 400 animals from around 50 species, including elephants, tigers, monkeys, and penguins. The park's 170 acres of beautiful Yorkshire countryside provide a natural habitat for the animals, with plenty of space to roam. Visitors can explore the park on foot or by taking a ride on the safari bus, getting up close to the animals in their naturalistic enclosures. The park also features a walk-through wallaby enclosure, a reptile house, and a bird show, as well as a playground and picnic areas for families to enjoy.
This is a very nice zoo not the biggest that i have been too but it sure makes up for this with the animals that you will see. you can get very close with them and this feels more personal where as some of the bigger zoos don't feel the same. The entry price is fair and you can see that the animals are well looked after. We loved the bears and the tigers. there is a gift shop but this is small and was busy which made it hard to get around. there is food and drink available onsite.
Quickish visit today (1x adult, 2 kids (1 paying)). Reasonable price, especially given we didn't stay long. Oldest more interested in when we got to the play area rather than the animals, but I guess that's kids of that age! Plenty to see, including animal feeds (Lions), even if you do feel like you get round it quickly. The amenities are good. Toilets were relatively clean and there is food/drink availability, though I dare say slightly pricey. Staff on entry and exit very friendly and interactive. Plenty of parking available at the time we went. We all enjoyed it and will be back sometime.
Had a wonderful visit here today. It's great to see so many animals from bears to lions tigers . Great viewing areas. There are plenty of places to sit. Good cafe ,shop. Good information about the animals. Well worth a visit.
Enjoyed the day. If you can book online, you save a couple of pounds, ideal if you're a family. Also, if you're not able to walk far, there are mobility scooters, and you need to ask staff about this item. There are quite a lot of animals from big cats to guinea pigs. It was nice and clean. There are plenty of areas to eat. At lunchtime, it gets really busy, I think a bigger area for eating would be ideal. We took a picnic but you can buy food there.
Wolds Wildlife Park is a wonderful place to visit. I know there are people who say places like this shouldn't exist but if you look closer at the work they do and the care they provide to the animals then it is clear this is an important establishment both in terms of bringing people up close and personal to animals but also with regard to animal preservation. Where else are you going to be able to get safely within 4 feet of a bear or a lion. However, you do need to be careful that you don't get sprayed with urine by the big cats! It was particularly beautiful to see baby wallabies being carried in their mothers' pouches. Also, it was great to see how much animals such as monkeys have in their enclosures to keep them occupied. The only thing I would like improved is the signage on the enclosures. A number of them have multiple sides but a sign on only one of them. Also it would be good to see the entrance area finished finally but I am all too aware that these things cost lots of money that is in short supply these days. There are a few places to buy food and drink and also now a big yurt in which to consume them. There is a small but excellent quality playground for children to play in. However, I could imagine it getting easily swamped in busy summer months. The toilets were incredibly well looked after. It is rare to see public toilets so clean and tidy I would happily visit here again when I can (it is around 40 miles away) and I would certainly encourage many others to do so. The more people visit, the more the animals can be looked after and improvements can be made.
Lovely little place to walk around on a sunny day. It was PS52 i think for a family of 5, but we used a site called Love to visit (I think the site was called ) and got 10% off. There is a food hut offering hot food chips, burgers, and a good-sized menu, really, As well as ice cream. My son had chips, which were 2.50, and I think a small tub of ice cream with a scoop and sauce was PS2.00 Great day out looking at the animals in the sunshine. A pleasant place to visit with the little ones.
