Regenerated urban wetland conservation area on 27 acres with boardwalks, a cafe & rich birdlife.
A beautiful wetlands with loads of wildlife. I have been to the one in Walthamstow and loved it so I thought why not explore this one too. It also has a nice cafe, loads of history.
Nice place, but Not for Picnic. Only walk
It is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. Very peaceful and great for all ages.
I used to live next to the reservoir and is such a haven for the locals all year round. Love taking walks around there and the coal house cafe is a lovely place for hot drinks and cake. It's one of my favourite spots in London.
I grew up in a small village in the country side in the uk and moved to London unfortunately I find it hard to find any nature that beats home I still live the small areas of nature in london one big thing that would make it better if there was no rubbish but unfortunately people who have no care to the world like to litter are parks and nature please fix this
A little sanctuary for wildlife and thus for us too. Closes at 4pm in winter time, closes 4:30pm spring/summer, this is to give the animals time without humans and makes this place special. I've seen many birds I've not seen elsewhere in London, Gadwalls, Great Crested Grebes and a Kestrel to name a few. It has a cafe, it's fine, not great, but has some nice options. It's a nice place to sit and relax, watch the birds, have a chat and a coffee. There are several tables outside and a few inside, a few on the roof also.
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Picnic tables
Good for kids
