Woodwick House is a 19th-century Victorian Gothic Revival mansion situated in Littleton, Hampshire, England. The house features a striking asymmetrical facade with a mix of pointed arches, steeply pitched roofs, and ornate stone carvings. Its interior boasts intricate wood paneling, ornate plaster ceilings, and grand reception rooms. The estate also encompasses 170 acres of parkland, featuring a lake, woodland walks, and a walled garden.
Brought my partner here for his 65th birthday. He had stayed here 53 years ago when his sister lived here. Now it's a hotel. Can't fault it. Set in beautiful grounds with a private beach. River runs through grounds. Dovecote converted into chapel for weddings. The house is a beautiful period building. Carola who runs it is friendly and a superb cook. The evening meal was 3 courses all lovely tasting and beautifully presented served in the conservatory. At only 17 pounds a head for three courses it was value for money. We were met when we arrived with tea and home bakes in the library. The room is large tastefully decorated and has an end suite bathroom with top quality toiletries. Would I recommend it? Yes I would and we will be back.
Loved this house, loved everything about it, from the very warm welcome we received from Carola and for accommodating us at very short notice after we had checked out, when our ferry journey back was mangled!. The breakfasts were great, the staff very friendly, and the most beautiful setting on Orkney. Love to go back one day. Thank you all so much for a wonderful stay.
Had a lovely stay, and a nicer reception when arriving. A good large comfortable room, with a large bathroom and bath, truly stunning area around the river covered in bluebells in early May, nice large garden that opens up to the beach at the end. Dog friendly, somewhat creepy looking from the outside, bit it just adds to the charm. Roughly 15 minutes from Kirkwall
Beautiful warm, elegant house with an incredible woodland walk down to the sea beside a flowing stream. Gorgeous views, great food and a very warm welcome awaits you.
Elegant place where to stay. The owner is very kind and really helped. The house is well furnished, and the breakfast has plenty of choice. It has a nice garden too.
The Woodwick House and Carolanna are the most amazing experience and accommodations in Orkney! We had an amazing time and the grounds are stunning! I plan on returning and spending some time walking the beach and stream flanked with Fushia trees! NOT bushes..Fushia Trees!!!! EVERY WHERE!! The stream and Dove cote area is magical and the dove cote is more like a chapel! I loved this place!!
