Welcome to World of Wedgwood, the home of our iconic Tea Room, Factory Tours, Creative Studios and V&A Museum.
A top class museum to explore if you want to know anything about the Wedgwood family business and their amazing creativity from the late 17 hundreds to today . After exploring the time line and seeing beautiful show cases of all their work from cream and jasper ware to cameos and vases then you can pop into the tea room or shops. I recommend the Blue pagoda tea . It has a fruity flavour and a lovely mango aroma. The coffees are very good too with options for oat milk . I have also had afternoon tea with friends to celebrate a birthday .It's quite pricey but you will enjoy the surroundings and the ambiance as well as the fantastic cakes and sandwiches. A real treat !
We had a lovely but expensive trip here. The museum is free to go around but everything else must be paid for. We did a tour of the factory which was very interesting. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We also did a taster clay session which was great fun but you only get to keep one, unglazed pot. If you want to keep any others or glaze them it costs extra. We visited the tea room twice, once for lunch and once for a drink and slice of cake. Beware, they were funny about us not having booked - apparently you only get to sit in the nice area if you have booked! There was no warning of this. The food is delicious but very expensive. If I came again I'd bring a packed lunch.
Exceeded expectations with a beautiful display of collections, shop and exhibitions. Some exclusive styles available to purchase including exclusive Wedgwood advent calendar. Everything was beautiful, a visual feast. Really lovely staff. Wish we had come with more time to spend as you need a few hours to appreciate it all and to spend time in the wonderful cafe too!
Fascinating tribute to the artistry and craftsmanship of the famous Wedgwood pottery. This visitor center and museum offer a deep dive into the history and legacy of Josiah Wedgwood and his exquisite creations. You can tour the factory to see skilled artisans at work, demonstrating techniques passed down through generations. The museum showcases an impressive collection of Wedgwood pieces, ranging from the early days to contemporary designs. Interactive activities, like pottery making and design workshops, allow visitors to get hands-on. There's also a fine dining tea room and a flagship store where you can purchase unique pieces. The World of Wedgwood is not just a tour; it's an immersive experience into the world of British ceramics, combining history, art, and craftsmanship. Whether you're a history buff, art enthusiast, or looking for a unique day out, it's a captivating place that celebrates an iconic brand.
I thought it's just going to be like the boring part of John Lewis but oh boy! We did the clay studio in the morning, lunch, factory tour, museum then shops and it has been the best day out for as far as I can remember. The clay studio was a lot of fun and you're well supported as a newbie like me. Factory tour was surprisingly riveting. Restaurant food was delicious served up on Wedgwood, but what made all of it incredible were the people throughout the day who were the kindest, funniest and most patient. Still buzzing. Cannot recommend highly enough. UK's most underrated attraction
We had an absolutely fabulous time at the creative studios doing a taster pottery throwing class. The instructor, Jade, was so patient and clear. Wonderful experience, would go again!
