This 2-mile coastal walk offers breathtaking views of Wormit Bay, a picturesque beach with golden sand and crystal-clear waters. The scenic route takes you along the cliff tops, providing panoramic views of the Firth of Forth and the surrounding coastline. Along the way, you'll pass through woodland and grassland, spotting wildlife such as seabirds, seals, and even dolphins if you're lucky. The walk is relatively flat and easy to navigate, making it accessible to walkers of all ages and abilities.
What a lovely place for a walk , lovely views of the Tay and plenty of wildlife.
Nice coastal walk to see the Balmerino Abbey ruins. Some steeper and muddy parts but easy enough for most people. Around 9 kms in distance. Should take around 2-3 hours.
Nice little wander along the river. Bit blowy as the wind was from the north
Great riverside walking and lovely fields of potatoes
Plenty parking with a donation requested if to be over 2 hours. No great navigation skill needed as path marked. I would say the path is unsuitable for the less able due to underfoot conditions ( steep muddy slopes, tree roots etc) and care required as steep drop offs in places. Can be livestock present as you cross farmland therefore dogs under close control. A pleasant walk which affords some fine views over the river though best to stop walking to look.
Loved this walk, we only walked about 4 miles to Balmerino but the open bits of walk where you could see the Tay was stunning, we went on a beautiful day so it was really lovely
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Hiking
Good for kids
Kid-friendly hikes
Dogs allowed
