Wroxham Barns is lovely for children and great for grown-ups. There's so much to see and so much to do, whether you want a relaxing day with friends, a fun time with the family or a chance to indulge in some retail therapy, you'll find it here. Come and see our talented craftspeople and chat to them while they work, or browse our shops which offer everything from unique gifts and stylish clothes to fun toys and delicious foods, before taking a break for refreshment in our Courtyard Cafe or Farmyard Cafe serving wholesome dishes and popular afternoon teas. Visit our seasonal Junior Farm & Fun Park and meet our animals.
We were initially worried our 8 year old would be too old for this, but needn't have worried. Loads of animal encounters, bouncing pillows, corn maze, 18 hole crazy golf, rides, and a very messy foam party, (make sure you take appropriate clothing for kids), to name some of the attractions. We bought homemade cake, which was lovely. Make sure you have a wonder around the shops, lots of local buys, just right for souvenir hunting. The deli has a fantastic range of food and drink. I would say 10 years old is probably the limit for full appreciation, but older kids will find things to do. Lovely day out.
What a great day out! We booked online it was 1.50 cheaper per person. We thought it was expensive for a petting zoo but honestly it's so much more than that. We enjoyed feeding the goats so much we went and purchased more feed just to carry on. The goats had such funny characters, honestly one was using his hoof to get my husband's attention, we couldn't stop laughing. I really wanted to take muffin the calf home, she was just delicious, it was so fun to feed them their milk. I graciously let the kids go first but I wanted to get in the pen, they were honestly wonderful. The little rides were great, we did have to peel our toddler her from one of the rides as she'd have stayed on there for ages if we'd have let her. My son (7) really enjoyed the bounce cussions, maize maze and foam party. I wish we lived closer because we would definitely be back but unfortunately we came because we were on holiday. We weren't really interested in the shops so we didn't go in much.
This is the first time since the pandemic we visited and it's still a great place to visit with the kids. Plenty for everyone to look at and a fantastic play area for the kids and good food to refuel the family. Lots of craft shops to buy something special.
Brilliant Place to bring the family. There's plenty to do from petting & feeding animals, rides for little people & shopping. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were well kept. The only downside was the cafe, coffee was lovely, however the food was very average for the price you pay. Looking at the menu, I thought it sounded delicious, and when my food arrived, it was basic, warmed up food and rather dry, definitely not worth the price they were charging.
A so called shopping village that is pleasant enough. Most of the units had something in them and the Deli was probably the best on offer. No that overpriced either unlike some of the offerings there. The small children appeared to be having great fun in the petting zoo and amusements but we didn't actually go in. Counts as something to do if at a loose end.
A pleasant enough place to visit that seems to have rebounded a little over the last year, but it doesn't have the same feel to it that it once did. Parking aplenty available on site. Funfair rides (seasonal?), pottery cafe and farm animal/petting zoo is available to keep kids happy, while there is a picnic area available or the choice of a couple of cafes depending on your preference. There's a great deli selling local produce on site, too, and a variety of other shops here. But the garden shop, cider store and stained glass place have all gone and are missed. It's good for a few hours' visit, but the place just seems to have lost some of its 'oomph' compared to how it was before Covid. Hopefully, given time, it will bounce back.
