A tranquil ancient woodland, Wymondley Wood is a haven for nature lovers and walkers. The wood's undulating terrain is carpeted with a vibrant tapestry of wildflowers, ferns, and moss, while its towering trees, some of which date back to the 17th century, provide a canopy of dappled shade. A meandering stream, its gentle gurgling a soothing accompaniment, winds its way through the wood, its banks lined with rustic wooden bridges and winding pathways that invite exploration.
Lovely tranquil place to go for a walk,a little stream runs through it, with a little bridge over. Picnic tables. Only downside really is the drive into the place. So many pot holes it is really a skill to avoid them. This has been like this for years, really surprised that the holes never get fixed.
A very peaceful place to just sit and enjoy the country side. Only downside during the dry weather dirt track is very dusty
Beautiful little place lovely walks in the woods Small amount of rubbish that missed the bin but we cleared it up for whoever couldn't aim. Will return if in the area again
A perfect place for an autumnal engagement shoot. Lovely walk and perfect for dog walkers. Good open space.
Perfect for a short walk and great to be in the shade
Only a small wood with a free car park but great place to walk the dog and take the kids to. Can walk to purwell Meadows easily or Willian. A small area has picnic tables. There is a small stream running through. No public facilities. There is a path round suitable for wheelchairs but is not very long.
