Guests can also enjoy restful cottage breaks and magnificent botanical escapes.
I'm not sure I have the words to say how wonderful our wedding at Wynyard Hall was! Besides the fact the building and grounds are absolutely stunning, and the staff being so friendly and have an incredible eye for detail, every aspect of the wedding felt to be to a very high standard and quality. A special mention needs to go to Emily (wedding coordinator) - we couldn't have had anyone better to help us plan for the day. She really is so personable, cares so much about your day, and thinks about all the little details that make the day magical. Dan (master of ceremonies) was with us throughout the day, and ensured everything ran smoothly by anticipating our every need. All the food was delicious from the canapes to the wedding breakfast, and finally to breakfast the next day. We had several guests with tricky dietary requirements who gave glowing approval. In particular we heard "that was the best gluten free bread I've ever had" and "that dairy-free ice cream was like the real deal". The accommodation was really comfortable and felt luxurious. I really could go on and on! We're so grateful to everyone at Wynyard, Emily and Dan especially, who made our wedding such a special day!
Most impressive, great display of roses, all named, supported with countless variety of other flowering plants. Only challenge here is the sheer number of roses is there are too many for the gardening staff to dead head but still well worth a visit. We took our 2 dogs who love garden visits. They even have dog ice cream in the restaurant.
Me and my partner have just got married at wynyard hall and I don't think we could have picked a better venue. The staff have been fantastic with us from start to finish and the venue itself is beautiful. We also got very lucky with the weather which is always a bonus. And the food we picked was delicious and fresh and I don't think anyone of our guests had any complaints at all. They were also very accommodating for us as my partner was able to bring her horse for some photos out the front entrance. I would highly recommend getting married at wynyard hall!
If you are "thinking" of booking your wedding at Wynyard - then think no longer - just get it booked! |We had our wedding a couple of weeks ago and from the initial consultation, to food tasting, to the very detailed planning (many thanks Emily) to the day itself (many thanks to Thomas as Master of Ceremony) - everything went perfectly.|Excellent food & great service too - it's a lovely idea that everyone at a table had their food presented to them at the same moment - very effective & commented upon by all guests. |We also stayed over the night before and had a lovely relaxed BBQ on the terrace.|Overall a Wedding to be remembered in the most perfect of venues.
Garden centre cafe refused my PS10 note as legal tender for PS7.50 purchase. They wanted correct money only or card payment. I had only PS10 note. I was extremely humiliated, made to feel as though I couldn't manage to pay! I was left without refreshments. The rest of my party scraped together enough for 3 people. There was change available in the till,!!
Recently attended at Wynyard Hall for an afternoon tea with my mam. We have quite frequently visited Wynyard Hall so we know what to expect from food, service and settings. Upon our attendance we received a nice welcome but did witness a male member of staff chasing after an elderly couple disputing whether they had paid for their afternoon tea. This was somewhat off putting and clearly awkward for them and us. We both commented upon it and felt that could have been handled much more professionally as it did become apparent that they had paid. ||Once seated we were attended upon promptly and service of the afternoon tea was done professionally, politely and smoothly. The food was delicious. Dainty sandwiches and cakes. Scones were the exact consistency they should be. The setting was nice and relaxed. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed our afternoon tea. ||When leaving with our box of treats, not being able to eat it all we were surprised to be approached in the foyer by the same male as we witnessed earlier querying whether another customer had paid. The same male asked whether we had paid more than deposit, the deposit payment was taken at the time of booking. I confirmed the remaining balance had indeed been paid. Despite this the male still questioned whether I had, to which I reconfirmed I had and showed him receipt to confirm payment. Initially he wanted me to return to the desk to double check but I said no my receipt is sufficient, it confirms that the remaining balance had been paid. No apology was received and we found the whole incident embarrassing we were made to feel that we had skipped paying! We were completely aghast as to how it was dealt with. There was no professionalism whatsoever. We have never encountered such problems as this when we have dined or stayed at Wynyard Hall. To witness the same problem earlier, clearly more training is required. An awful and embarrassing feeling being accused of not settling a bill. Please make improvements. Surely a check on the system and/or conversation with a colleague would have avoided such a sour taste to an end of a pleasant afternoon.
