Forested park area with trails leading to a high viewpoint with picturesque views of the river.
Visited here many times, usually after a walk and lunch at the Saracen's head inn. The views of the meandering river are stunning and you are so high up. It gives a great all round panorama. Car park is cheap, PS3 for two hours. You can use tap to pay.
Absolutely beautiful. Amazing views and so many woodland trails to walk around. There is a cafe and toilet facilities. There are also some accessible trails for those with limited mobility. There is a charge for parking unless you are a Forestry England member, but the parking charges are not extortionate. A great day out that would suit so many. Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely place to go! Very narrow road and steep (obviously) so don't even think about taking a caravan or motorhome up there! Stunning views!
A wonderful area to walk around, emerse yourself with nature, and relax. There are a few guided paths to walk around, and the scenic lookouts are spectacular. There are plenty of parking spaces although you have to pay. The road driving into the car park at times is narrow, so drive carefully. There is a cafe and public toilets. I would recommend that everyone of all age groups visit.
Absolutely breathtaking. As soon as we reached the viewpoint to take in the scenery, we heard a peregrine call out across the valley. I am so grateful that places of such extraordinary natural beauty are protected. Good parking and lovely little cafe here, too!
Great forest area. Loads of trail to explore. Parking PS3 for 2 hours. Toilets on site also cafe selling a variety of food and great coffee.
