It's my own walk. So I started this from ynyshir industrial park at the top end there is a tarmac walking path running along side of the industrial park as soon as you step on the path ynyshir end 10 to 15 steps on your left hand side you will see a dirt path going up into a wooded area just follow the path straight up (you will need to be of some fitness) to the top and the start of llanwono conifer forest follow the fire brake through the forestry untill you see the road. At the road if you turn left it goes to the brinhuflog pub, Ferndale,ynys y bull and aberdere if you turn right it takes you to the top of Graigwen road and down the hill straight back into pontypridd.
